• Vehicle hires for legs of your journey that have coverage by HRTC buses

• Monument entry fees/camera fees

• Any personal expenses

• Adventure activities of any kind

• Heater charges

• Expenses incurred due to any factors beyond our control like natural calamities, heavy snow fall, landslides, political insurgencies etc

• Anything not explicitly mentioned in the inclusions

 

DON'T FORGET:

 

• The decisions of the #TP Trip Lead are final and binding on all travellers

• The weather and terrain at Spiti Valley is unpredictable

• While days are pleasant, night temperatures can touch 10 to 15 degrees below zero.

• Be well covered and layered for the whole trip

• HRTC Buses are the smartest, safest and the most comfortable way to travel in Spiti during winters

• Average speed on mountain roads do not exceed 15-20KMPH

• The places we go to all have an elevation of over 12,000 feet

• Begin jogging regularly to increase your lung capacity

• Please get a medical evaluation done to confirm you are fit enough for this trip

• DIAMOX: Only after confirmation from your Doctor, start a dose of Diamox. 125mg every 12 hours starting the night of 22nd December. Increase the dosage to 250mg every 12 hours starting the night of 23rd December until you return to Manali.

• Carrying your own cutlery and reusable water bottles is compulsory

• Alcohol, smoking and consumption of psychotropic substances is strictly prohibited on #TP trips

• If you're caught, you'll be expelled from the trip with no refunds

• Wet wipes and sanitary napkins are not bio-degradable and should not be left behind in Spiti Valley

• Ensure you carry all your trash with you for appropriate disposal at the nearest city

• BSNL/MTNL SIM cards have the widest coverage in Spiti Valley

• Nights in Spiti Valley can witness temperatures 10-15 degrees below zero

• Carry dry fruits with you for the trip

• Fried and heavy food should be avoided

• Carry sufficient warm layers

• Carry a complete medical kit for yourself

• Use Ranger Rolls to save space
