DESCRIPTION:

A weekend spent staying at the banks of a lake that was created by an "alien" rock. Experience the Geminid meteor showers as shooting stars streak past at night. Have Constellation Races with your co-travellers. Learn how to travel back in time. And capture all of it with astro photography.  Circumnavigate the lake and soak in the splendour of the magnetic temples on its shore. MORE ABOUT OUR TRIP:

The emerald green Lonar lake is bound by dense forest and rich biodiversity all along its circumference in an otherwise barren landscape. It was created by a meteorite impact and is around 52,000 years old. We'll be camping mere minutes away from it!

We shall witness those shooting stars you all have heard of - the 'Geminid Meteor Showers'. These meteor showers are one of the only two major meteor showers not caused by a comet. The source of this shower is the uber-cool sounding Object 3200 Phaetheon, believed to be a Palladian Asteroid. If you trace back the paths of these meteors you will notice that they all seem to be originating from the constellation Gemini. Hence the name Geminids. The meteors in this shower are usually slow moving and often very bright!

We perform a parikrama of the mystic Lonar lake through dense forest. We also soak in the magnetic and other historic temples bounding the lake.
